White Cane Day

Join us for Rhode Island’s White Cane Day Celebration on Saturday, October 15, from 1 PM – 4 PM, at the Garden City Center Gazebo, 100 Midway Road, Cranston.
The event is RAIN or SHINE and will celebrate the independence of Rhode Islanders who are blind and visually impaired with lots of family-friendly activities, including:
- Free tee shirt giveaway (while supplies last).
- Family activities include a face painter, balloon artist, food, white cane pretzels, and music!
- National Hot Rod Association Funny Car.
- Resource tables featuring information about local organizations and services.
There will also be a brief speaking program starting at 2:30 PM featuring Jay Blake from Follow a Dream and local storyteller Mark Binder.
